Came here because of the click-baity title and for the comments. After reading the article I feel like you're missing all the pain that comes with all the extra freedom Vanilla Javascript gives us, but I guess we'll all be blaming that sloppy programming into developers. Really prefer sacrificing build times once, than running in circles because someone turned a number into a string and then into an array.
Vite does a nice thing optimizing build times.
