In a company I worked a few years ago we applied mob programming for a week, just to see how it fit our development flow. 4 persons facing the same problem lead to more elegant solutions than a single lone developer struggling with the same problem. We would have continued mob programming if the project wasn't under a so old styled direction. Our project managers on that time hardly embraced agile methodologies, so innovating that much was pretty disturbing for them.
