In fact, when one of my jobs was keeping Angular up to date. So far so good until version 15. Angular Material screwed up most of the app's components, terribly styled, poorly developed, a PITA.
There's still too much legacy code, and a terrible technical debt, many things that once got working nobody touched that code.
Angular 16 will be a whole new story, but it's really hard to get a team involved in heavy upgrades when the everyday bug hunt takes all their time.
