Just wondering, has anybody thought of the amount of bloat Material adds to every project it is included in? Even though tree shaking tries to do their thing, bundle size is almost always seriously harmed by Material.
A plain old HTML select with a datalist would have been more than enough for your use case. Material looks required? No problem, CSS to the rescue. And a library less in you bundle ;) (but good article).
