Many would like this to happen (many, not saying everyone...). RxJS is great, but it can (it can, not saying it always will...) become a real struggle for most developers (most, not all of them...). RxJS complexity can (can...) be overwhelming, and when the only tool you have (not you; hope you're getting the point here...) is a hammer, in this case signals are the new kid on the block, most problems (most of them will probably...) will look like nails.
I saw an article which had debounce implemented with signals, it wasn't a good looking piece of code, but as some sections in my article, this is also an opinion π
